The Missing Piece
Host a Tango Mentor workshops in your community and get a first hand experience of my method.
The core of my tango teaching is searching for the inner ecstasy: eater in the couple or in the dancers themselves. Tango is not just physical, it is primarily psychological and emotional phenomenon – and it should be thought in that way.
It is also a cultural phenomenon. The musicality, the comfort when someone touches you, the relations with others – it is all variable from culture to culture. Learning tango is also discovering new ways of dealing with those things.
Some label my approach as milonguero, but I think it is much wider than what any label can define – enjoyment in others people embrace, understanding the traditional tango musicality, learning how to face with your own fears that tango brings to surface: they are all universal things that are hard to frame by any label.
Why would you want to host my workshops?
tango teacher, international tango DJ and event organizer
I am not big Argentinian tango celebrity who appears on shiny festivals. My tango lives at milongas and I teach people how to dance at milongas. My goal is to help people find their pleasure there: in the embrace of their partners, in the ronda, dancing alongside their friends. I teach social tango for regular people.
When I first started I struggled with the movements and with musicality, until I understood that tango actually happens in the brain. The body is just the result of what happens inside – so I decided to work on my mindset first. And than the miracle happened! I felt like Neo in Matrix: everything seemed to be much easier than like it was before. Of course, I still had to practice, but I knew exactly what to expect and where I was going.

We are all delighted with Ivica's workshops; the most beautiful thing is that we have expanded our views and some, at the first glance, simple things have opened our eyes, and as a consequence left us with much more enjoy in embrace; we are extremely grateful for that.
Beautiful experience - his calm, friendly, charm energy makes us feel like we are on a right place, at the right moment. Practical teacher, unselfishly shares huge knowledge, teaching every step throughout the embrace! Simply - he knows how to bite with tango virus – and you will not regret it!
Ivica has effective methods of presenting the mature aspect of tango. This is very valuable, since it shortens the usually long period of building experience, for one to be able of transcend the infantile phase of dancing. Surprisingly great number of tangueros, consciously or unconsciously, are recognizing and accepting the values offered by Ivica as a tango teacher. He is very professional, seriously devoted to his teaching role as a task, and not as a plain privilege.
It is fascinating how easy and simple Ivica transmits his knowledge. When he shares his knowledge he always respects your time and level of concentration. He opened new horizons in my tango development, but the biggest improvement I felt in my wifes dancing. Her embrace after the workshop is... surreal.

Can I see you dancing on videos before I decide to invite you?
I am not a show dancer and I never publish videos of me dancing. Of course, it is a handicap from a marketing side of my work, but I believe that show dancing spoils the dance. However on demand I can send you some demo dances videos from my private archive.
Do you teach alone or you have a partner?
I usually make these workshops alone. However, if you prefer like that, my teaching partner from my school can join me and we can teach together. I also occasionally do workshops with various partners from places where I teach. This is topic which should be discussed as a part of the package we arrange.
